Kevlon Soluble Cutting Oil is a water-soluble metal working fluid that forms a very stable emulsion when mixed with water at a wide range of dilutions. Stability of this emulsion is not affected by hard water ions and the fact that it does not foam makes it deal for high-speed metal working operations. Kevlon Soluble Cutting Oil is fortified with biocides to prevent rancidity caused by bacteria, which can lead to unpleasant odors, split emulsions and reduced product performance. This feature results in greater worker satisfaction and maximum product performance. It also provides excellent protection against rust.
Kevlon Soluble Cutting Oil is used for general cutting operations in which maximum tool and work piece cooling is required, and the emulsion must have some lubricating ability. The oil should be added gradually into the full volume of water-not the reverse, and gentle agitation maintained until all the oil has been added and a uniform emulsion is obtained. The ration of oil to water required to form emulsified soluble oil varies with the metal being machined and with the machining techniques being used.
